TAP’s story begins in the lively city of Bulawayo, Zimbabwe—a place rich in culture, rhythm, and resilience. Growing up surrounded by the vibrant sounds of African life, she discovered her love for music early on. It was here that her warrior spirit was born, shaped by the strength, joy, and traditions of her homeland.
At just 10 years old, TAP relocated with her family to South Africa—a land alive with music and dance. Surrounded by the vibrant pulse of what is called the rainbow nation, she absorbed a world of sound, from ancestral African drums to contemporary influences that echoed change and possibility. These early experiences shaped her soul and ignited a lifelong love for storytelling through music.
In her late twenties, TAP made another courageous leap—this time across continents—as she moved to the United States. That global journey didn’t just expand her worldview; it carved the path for a musical voice that transcends borders, blending continents, cultures, and courage into every note she sings.

The Song that Started it All
THE SOUND OF US - OUR JOURNEY TOGETHER WRITTEN BY TAP
My biggest dream since I was a little girl was to sing and as life progresses like so many of us, we start working and most of those dreams stay just that ...dreams. I spent years writing my first song, Ignite the Warrior over many flights. In December 2023 I released my first single, Ignite the Warrior. This song was a dedication to my Dad and I got to surprise him with the family all together at a Game Reserve in South Africa. There were a lot of tears and it was an evening we will never forget.
That is where the Sound of Us began. Rob, my incredible husband and I started our musical journey together and it has been incredible. I got a vocal coach, Kim Wood Sandusky who has been by our side through it all. She is an incredible coach, mentor and extremely talented - an expert in her field and beyond. Rob got a music teacher and over the last 15 months, Rob has composed all 10 soundtracks, I have written and recorded 10 songs and we are now gettting ready to release THE WARRIOR ALBUM. We will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary soon and I could not imagine one day without this amazing man by my side. I love you babe.
